A General Meeting (open to all parents/staff) will be held via Microsoft Teams video call. If you've not used this before, please see the information below.
🎧 Please consider wearing earphones/headphones, especially if you will be in an area with background noise (such as children playing); this helps avoid interference and microphone feedback if/when you need to join in the conversation.
📼 The meeting will be recorded to aid writing the meeting minutes; the recording will be deleted after the minutes are agreed at a subsequent meeting and will not be made available outside elected Committee Members except in the unlikely event this is required by law.
❗Warning - Schoolchildren Microsoft Teams accounts
If you attempt to join the meeting with a mobile or tablet app that was previously signed in to an account (such as your child's Teams account for remote learning), this may have locked; you will be unable to join while the account is still prompting for a password. To avoid this you may need to uninstall and re-install the app, no sign in details are required for the charity meeting.
I've not used Microsoft Teams, what do I need to do?
On the day of the meeting, click/tap the link you've received via email, saved to your calendar or with the button above on a desktop or laptop device with a webcam and microphone attached. When prompted you can select to run the meeting in your web browser and will not need to download or install any software. Follow the prompts to enter your name, allow your webcam & audio and connect. If the Committee Members are not yet connected you will be placed in a 'lobby' (waiting area).
If you need to join from a mobile device, you will need to download the Microsoft Teams app; it is advisable to do so before the meeting date following the instructions here.
